GLYCON WINS BRILLANTLY AGAIN
The Haras de Saint Pair’s Glycon retained his unbeaten record with another easy win in Deauville. The three year old son of Le Havre was an easy 5 length winner of his belated debut over 1800 on heavy ground at ParisLongchamp in October and followed up that performance with an easy 2 1/2 length win over 1500 on the all weather track in Deauville on November 26th.
Ridden by Christian Demuro for trainer Jean Claude Rouget Glycon missed the break and raced freely at the rear during the early part of the race. Once the field reached the home straight Glycon had no difficultly at all in accelerating past all of his rivals to win with ease by 2 1/2 lengths from Testa and Makfra both horses with useful recent form. Glycon is the third winner from the first three foals of his dam Glorious Sight. Her two year old Siyouni colt Glaer is in training with John Gosden for Saint Pair while her Dubawi yearling filly was sold to Mike Ryan at the Tattersalls October 1 sale.
