GOLIGHTLY WINS AT CHANTILLY
Golightly the three year old Frankel filly out of Girl Friday owned by a partnership including the Haras de Saint Pair and trained by Jean Claude Rouget won a Class 2 race over 1800 metres at Chantilly on October 17th. Golightly has two wins and three places from seven career starts and earnings of 72.000 euros.
Not looking particularly happy on the heavy ground Golightly was ridden prominently by jockey Ioriz Mendizabal and held off the late challenge of Miwa to win by 3/4 length. This was a return to form after a disappointing run in a Listed race at La Teste on false ground at the end of August. Golightly best performance to date came when second, beaten only narrowly, by the subsequent Group winner Blush at the end of May. She has shown good form on soft and firm ground and between 1600 and 1800 metres. She is likely to be offered as a filly in training at the Arqana December breeding stock sale.
