GUILDSMAN MAKES BRIILIANT DEBUT AT GOODWOOD
Guildsman, a two year old Wootton Bassett colt out of Dardiza, made a brilliant racecourse debut at Goodwood on June 7th. Qatar Racing’s colt spreadeagled the seven strong field winning by 6 lengths and 5 lengths over six furlongs. The Saint Pair bred colt is trained by Archie Watson and was ridden by Oisin Murphy.
Saint Pair sold Guildsman at the Arqana October yearling sale to Church Farm for 67.000 euros, he was resold by Church Farm and Horse Park Stud at the Arqana Breeze Up to David Redvers for 125.000 euros. He is the first foal of the Street Cry mare Dardiza who is a half sister to the dam of the European Champion Almanzor. She has a Siyouni filly yearling who is due to go to the Arqan August same and is back in foal to Zoustar. Guildsman is the second Saint Pair bred to win in England this week following Kitcarina’s win at Kempton on June 5th.
