IROMEA WINS AT AQUEDUCT

Iromea

The Haras de Saint Pair’s Iromea made winning start for her new trainer Christophe Clement when taking an allowance race over a mile on the turf at Aqueduct on November 9th.

The grey daughter of Dansili came from fifth place in a very slowly run race to take the led in the shadow of the post to win by 1/2 length and a head from Indian Starlight and Hassah. The final 1/4 mile was run in 23.57 seconds, and significantly faster by Iromea who made up 3 lengths in the leaders in the home stretch.

Iromea, who is out of a Pivotal 1/2 sister to the champion and top mare Grey LIlas, now has 2 wins and four places from seven career starts and earnings of 80.000 euros. She won the Listed Prix Madame Jean Couturier at Vichy last July over 2000 and will stay in training with Christophe Clement.
