KAPOUR MAKES THE FAVOURITE WORK
The Haras de Saint Pair’s Kapour gave Sky Hunter a fright in the Listed Prix Frederic Lagrange at Vichy on July 15. Sky Hunter was a long odds on favourite, making his first start since finishing a close third in the Group 1 Prix du Jockey Club at Chantilly in early June, but just for a moment he looked in trouble when Kapour began his challenge. In the end Sky Hunter was able to quicken a second time to win the race, but there was only 1/2 length between the pair on the line.
This was Kapour’s fifth career start and his first since the end of April. The three year old son of Toylsome has three wins and two second places to date and showed once again that he is up to competing successfully in Group races.
Kapour is the first foal of Kitcat bred by the Haras de Saint Pair. He has a two year old half sister by Shamardal in training with Francois Rohaut and a yearling half sister by Dansili.
