POSTMAN IS SAINT PAIR’S FIRST WINNER OF 2017

 

Postman, a four year old gelding by American Post, became the Haras de Saint Pair’s first winner of 2017 with a decisive victory in the Prix du Grand Lys in Deauville on January 5th. Postman was bred by Saint Pair and sold as a foal at the 2013 Arqana December sale for 4.500 euros. Off the track for nearly a year after his debut last January the Stephane Cerulis trained gelding returned to be fourth in December before breaking his maiden on his third start. Always prominent he quicken away from his rivals at the top of the straight and held on for a 3/4 length win. A useful performance from a inexperienced gelding who is likely to go for handicaps in the future.
