SECRET ADVISOR EXCELLENT SECOND AT NEWMARKET UNDER PENALTY

Secret Advisor, a six year old Dubawi gelding owned by Godolphin and bred by the Haras de Saint Pair, came from way off the pace to finish second in the Listed Buckhounds Stakes over 1 1/2 miles in Newmarket on June 7th. Giving 5lbs to the winner, the Group 2 winner Dashing Willoughby, Secret Advisor finished strongly to take second only a length behind.

Secret Advisor now has 4 wins, incuding a Group 3 and Listed in Meydan earlier this year, and four places from eleven career starts. Off the course throughout 2018 Secret Advisor made only two starts unplaced in 2019 but has come back better than ever in 2020 and looks likely to win more Group races over the coming months. He is a half brother to the Group winner and Group 1 performer Subway Dancer. His dam Sub Rose has a Muharaar two year old filly Sub Sahara in training with Jean Claude Rouget and a yearling filly by Al Wukair. Sub Rose’s three year old half brother by Footstepsinthesand Yes My Boy is unbeaten in two starts after winning a conditions race at Lingfield on June 7th for trainer Archie Watson.
