VADAMOS GOES VERY CLOSE
Vadamos came very close to giving the Haras de Saint Pair its first home bred Group 1 win with his gallant second place in the Group 1 Prix Jacques le Marois Haras de Fresnay le Buffard in Deauville on August 14th.
The five year old son of Monsun settled behind the leaders in a fast run race and quickened past the dual Group 1 winner Galileo Gold to take a clear lead with 300 metres to run. The other leading three year old miler Ribchester was racing in the centre of the track and managed to get his head in front in the final 100 metres to win by 1/2 length. These two exceptiional milers were 1 3/4 lengths ahead of the multiple Group 1 Eryveda who finished third.
The Andre Fabre trained colt is likely to make his next start in the Group 1 Prix du Moulin de Longchamp to be run at Chantilly thi year on September 11th. Vadamos’ yearing half brother by Pour Moi is due to be offered at the Arqana October yearling sale. His dam Celebre Vadala has a filly foal by New Approach and was barren in 2016.
