WALDJAGD IS ONLY MARE IN FOAL TO KINGMAN IN DEAUVILLE SALE
Saint Piar is offering Waldjagd, lot 142, the only mare at the Arqana sale in foal to Kingman. Waldjagd was a high class performer herself earning a rating of 103 and finishing second in a Group 2 over 2000 metres in the Diana Trial at Hoppegarten. She is the dam of five living foals of racing age, (her Motivator filly died before she was able to race), four of whom are winners including Urwald who earned a rating of 108 when winning a Listed over 1400 at ParisLongchamp as a three year old. Her three year old Muhaarar filly Jukebox Dancer is also in the sale, lot 219 being offered by her trainer Nicolas Clement. Jukebox Dancer was an easy winner of her latest start over 1500 on the all weather in Deauville and looks to have a future running on good ground and artificial surfaces.
Waldjagd’s two year old Waldbiene was sold as a yearling for 110.000 euros and is in training in Cologne with Waldemar Hickst. Her yearling colt by Almanzor was sold for 250.000gns to Mike Ryan at the October 1 sale.
She comes of course from the wonderful ‘W’ family developed by among others Gestut Raensburg, Newsells Park Stud and Gestut Ammerland which has produced champions and Classic winners including Masked Marvel and Waldgeist.
