AWAKING IMPRESSES AT CHUKYO

Awaking broke his maiden with ease over 1200 at Chukyo on March 16th. The three year old son of Kingman and Waldjag now has a win and two places from four career starts to date.

The Haras de Saint Pair sold his dam Waldjagd at the Arqana December sale in 2020 carrying Awaking, who went on to be bought by his trainer Yoshito Yahagi at the Arqana August sale in 2022. Saint Pair bred five winners from Waldjagd including the Group 2 winner Waldbiene and the Longchamp stakes winner Urwald. This is the famous ‘W’ family of Gestut Ravensberg which has produced top horses and stallions like Waldgeist and Masked Marvel.
