GYPSY GOLD SELLS AT ARQANA JANUARY ONLINE SALE

The Haras de Saint Pair’s four year old filly Gypsy Gold was sold out of training at the Arqana Online January sale to V.I.Araci, the owner of Old Mill Stud in England, for 280.000€. The daughter of Siyouni was trained by Jean Claude Rouget and had two wins and three places from eight starts at two and three and earnings of 39.700€ and an official rating of 91. She won at Compiegne over 1600 metres in June and again in Vichy over 1850 in September, both times ridden by Coralie Pacault. Her best performance probably came over 1600 at Clairfontaine in July when she was beaten only a neck by the Aga Khan’s gelding Beshtani, a stakes performer rated 103.

Gypsy Gold is the sixth foal of her dam the Classic placed Glorious Sight and the sixth winner she has produced. Her first five foals include the Group 2 winner Glycon who was Group 1 placed, Gypsy Gold’s full brother Glaer, who has eight wins and six places to date including three stakes places the latest being a second in the Grand Prix Riviera Cote d’Azur at Cagnes sur Mer on January 27th. Glorious Sight’s first two foals the mares Glad Eye and Girl Friday are both at Saint Pair, while her Dubawi filly Zoikes is now in Ireland and has a filly foal by Medaglia d’Oro and is in foal to Justify. Crimson Tide her unraced three year old Le Havre filly is in training with Pascal Bary and she has a yearling filly by Wootton Bassett, is in foal to Victor Ludorum and is due to visit Ace Impact in 2024.
