
GLAER STAKES PLACED AGAIN
The Haras de Saint Pair’s Glaer was stakes placed for the third time in his career when second, for the second consecutive year to Ecurie Griezmann’s Hooking in the 2000 metres Grand Prix Riviera Cotes d’Azur at Cagnes sur Mer on January 25th. The seven year old gelding now has eight wins and six places from nineteen career starts and earnings of 216.000€. Glaer raced onces as a two year old in England and was then off the track for eighteen months returning as a four year old under the care of Jean Claude Rouget. He has proved to be particularly suited to all weather tracks and on the psf he has five wins and two Listed places from nine starts to date.
Glaer’s full sister the four year old Gypsy Gold was sold to V.I.Araci for 280.000€ at the Arqana January online sale on January 25th. His dam Glorious Sight has an unraced Le Havre three year old filly Crimson Tide, who is in training with Pascal Bary for Al Shira’aa Stud, a yearling filly by Wootton Bassett, is in foal to Victor Ludorum and is due to visit Ace Impact in 2024. She also dam of the Group 2 winner and Group placed Glycon.
