BRILLIANT DEBUT FOR GIRL FRIDAY

girlfridaydeauv21oct-23

The Haras de Saint Pair’s Girl Friday made an impressive winning debut in Deauville on October 21st over 1200 metres.  The two year old daughter of Pivotal and Glorious Sight missed the break completely and took a few hundred metres to realise what was going on. Once she had come back on the bridle for her jockey Vincent Cheminaud she followed the leaders on the outside and when asked for an effort she quickened into a clear lead in a matter of strides.

Once in front the Andre Fabre trained filly looked around for company and relaxed but at the line she was still a very comfortable 1/2 length and 3/4 length in front of Calina and Dew Pearl. Girl Friday appears to have more speed than her dam Glorious Sight who was beaten on her only juvenile start and who went on to be placed in both the Poule d’Essai des Pouliches and the Prix de Diane.

Glorious Sight has a filly foal by Dansili and is in foal to Le Havre.
