EASY WIN FOR VIA PISA
The Haras de Saint Pair’s Via Pisa broke her maiden at Chantilly on July 28 with an easy 2 length victory in the Prix L’Ile d’Amour over 1600. The three year old daughter of Pivotal had been a close up fourth in the Group 3 Prix Chloe on her previous start and made no mistake dropping back in trip and class for an uncontested victory.
‘She is a lovely consistent filly,’ her trainer Freddy Head said after the race, ‘and now she has won a race we will look for a suitable Listed race for her.’ Via Pisa is the first foal of her mare Via Medici who won a Group 3 in the colours of Saint Pair. She has a two year old filly by Dansili, Via Firenze, who is in training with Pia Brandt and a yearling filly by Lawman.
