MONSUN’S THREE YEAR OLDS SHINE

The Aga Khan’s Saghann became the seventh stakes performer from the 55 foals of Monsun’s 2009 crop when a close up second in a slowly run Listed Prix de l’Avre at Longchamp on Tuesday May 22. Monsun’s three year olds include 12 winners to date, seven stakes horses, no fewer than ten horses already rated higher than 95. He has two top prospects in the Group winners Novellist and Waldlerche, and others to show promise include Yellow And Green, Masterstroke, Kailani and Energizer, all stakes horses, the maiden winners Swedish Sailor and Estimate and the promising maidens Al Nawras, Monshak and the Haras de Saint Pair’s Pearls or Passion, who was second on her debut in Toulouse in May.
