SANTO SPIRITO ON UPWARD CURVE

Santo Spirito2

The Haras de Saint Pair’s four year old Monsun colt Santo Spirito won his third race at Deauville on August 15. Afterwards France Galop put his rating up to 44 or 97. The Francois Rohaut trained colt was off the track for nearly a year following an injury incurred at Vichy last July, but he has been making up for last time since winning three of his four starts in 2015.

At Deauville Santo Spirito won a conditions race on the all weather over 2500 metres. Vincent Cheminaud took Santo Spirito in the lead at the top of the straight and held the late challenge of the subsequent winner Zack Hope comfortably by a neck. Santo Spirito is likely to run in stakes races in the future.
