STREET SECRET MAKES WINNING US DEBUT
Street Secret made a winning US debut on March 23 in her first race in the colours of the Haras de Saint Pair. The five year old Street Cry mare is from the female family of Allegretta and has raced successfully in England, France, Germany and now the US. She came from off the pace to score a narrow neck victory over Puzzling in a Gufstream Park allowance over 1700 metres on turf. Street Secret has now run 13 times for 4 wins and 4 places and earnings of $84,000. She has been stakes placed three times to date in France and Germany. She has continued to improve throughout her career to date and was rated 101 at the end of 2012.
After beginning her career in England with Roger Varian she was trained in France by Pia Brandt and has been with trainer Chad Brown for the Haras de Saint Pair since being sold for 260,000 euros at the 2012 Arqana Arc Sale in October 2012. Her dam is a stakes placed half sister to the Group 1 winner an stallion Anzillero, and her third dam Allegretta is the dam of King’s Best and Urban Sea.
