ADMIRE MARS DOMINATES IN HONG KONG

Admire Mars, the three year old Daiwa Major colt out of the Saint Pair bred Via Medici took his third Group 1 at Hong Kong on December 8th with a decisive 1/2 length victory in the Longines Hong Kong Mile. Only a few days after the death of his owner Riichi Kondo Admire Mars took his career record to four wins, including 3 Group 1’s, from seven starts for earnings of 3.7 million euros.

The Via Milano famiy has produced a series of high class performers in recent years headed by the Champion Admire Mars but also including the Group 1 performers Via Ravenna and Via Pisa as well as Via Firenze, and the promising two year old Via de Vega. Via Medici, a Group winner herself who was sold by Saint Pair to Northern Farm in 2014, has a two year old filly by Kinshasa no Kiseki, a yearling filly by Duramente and a filly foal by Heart’s Cry. Via Medici is back in foal to Daiwa Major.
