ANOTHER STAKES PERFORMER FOR PEARLY SHELLS

Pearly Avenue finished a brave third in the Listed Prix Panacee in Toulouse on October 10th. The four year old daughter of Anabaa and the Haras de Saint Pair’s champion mare Pearly Shells was trying to emulate her half sister Pearls Or Passion who had won this race in 2013. Like her half sister Pearly Avenue set out in front but although she stayed on courageously to the end she did not quite have the speed to repell the challenges of Beautiful Heroine and Oriental Magic and was beaten 1 1/2 lengths and 3/4 length by the two three year olds. Pearly Avenue has 2 wins and 6 places from nine career starts and earnings of 74.095 euros.

Pearly Avenue is the sixth winner from the first six foals of Pearly Shells which also include the Group winner Pearl Banks, the stakes winner Pearls or Passion, as well as the dam of the 2014 Group placed two year old Shagah. Pearly Shells has a yearling colt by Dubawi and a filly foal by Holy Roman Emperor.
