ASTONISHING BREAKS MAIDEN IN STYLE

Lady Rothschild’s Astoninshing, a three year old filly by Galileo out of Amazing Krisken, broke her maiden on her third career start with a comfortable win at Kempton on July 3. Astonishing is a full sister to Sub Rose, the Haras de Saint Pair’s mare who won the Group 3 Prix de Royaumont in 2008. She is trained by Sir Michael Stoute and was purchased by Lasy Rothschild for 190.000 guineas as a foal. This was only her seond start as a three year old and her first over 1 1/2 miles and as the second and third are both rated in the 80’s she looks likely to go on to compete in stakes races in the future.

Sub Rose’s first foal Subsequently is an unraced three year filly in training with Guy Henrot. She has a two year old filly by Pivotal called Sub Marina who is in training with Francois Rohaut and a yearling colt by Shamardal. Sub Rose is currently in foal to Dubawi.
