EASY DEBUT WIN FOR PEARLY SHELLS’ GRANDSON

Parmenion, a three year old Soldier Hollow gelding out of Pearls Or Passion owned by Sheikh Mohammed Al Thani was an easy three length winner over 2200 metres at Craon on June 17th on his debut. Trained by Edouard Montfort the grandson of Saint Pair’s Champion was held up behind the leaders before quickening clear of his rivals in the straight to win with ease. Third, and beaten only a short head for second place was another grandson of Pearly Shells Ker Wellen, a son of Dariyan and Pearly Empress.

Parmenion is the third winner from the first four foals produced by Pearls Or Passion, a daughter of Monsun and Pearly Shells who won the Listed Prix Panacee in the colours of Saint Pair. She was sold for 600.000gns at the 2013 Tattersalls December sale. Pearls or Passion has already produced the Group 3 winner Pelligrina, a full sister to Parmenion, as well as Podemos a stakes placed winner.
