MARBRE ROSE CLOSE TO ANOTHER STAKES WIN
Marbre Rose failed by only a nose to win another stakes race when finishing second in the Perfect Sting Stakes at Belmont Park on July 3rd. The four year old daughter of Smart Strike is owned in partnership by the Haras de Saint Pair and the Haras des Monceaux and trained by Christophe Clement.
She was returning from a three month break and was held up at the rear in the early part of what was a slowly run race. In the stretch she came with a flying run but failed by a nose to pass Daring Kathy. Marbre Rose has two wins and four places from ten career starts and earnings of 130.000 euros. She was a stakes winner at Gulfstream Park at three and was group placed at two in France.
