PAREO FOURTH, AGAIN

Pareo, the four year by Galileo out of Pearly Shells was fourth in the Listed Prix Jacques Bremond in Vichy on July 20. The Alain de Royer Dupre trained colt had been fourth in a stakes race in Nantes on his previous start, and this time was only passed in the final metres of the 1600 metre race to be fourth, beaten less than a length by the winner, the English trained Dansili filly Making Eyes.

The first five foals of the Group 1 winner Pearly Shells are all winners and they include the Group winner Pearl Banks, Pareo, and Pearls of Passion, a promising three year old Monsun filly who was placed in Vichy at the beginning of the week. Pearly Shells has a two year old filly by Anabaa called Pearly Avenue, a yearling colt by Oasis Dream and is in foal to Dubawi.
