SICILIAN DEFENSE TAKES ANOTHER STAKES RACE

Sicilian Defense came with a flying late run to win the 1400 metre Listed Prix Maurice Zilber at ParisLongchamp on May 18th. This narrow but comfortable win is the daughter of Muhaarar’s second stakes win and she has in total 3 wins and 5 places from 13 career starts and earnings of 196.000€. Bred by Saint Pair the daughter of Manasarova was sold as a yearling in Deauville for 35.000€ to her owners Argella Racing. Her dam Manasarova was stakes placed in the colours of Saint Pair and was sold to Blue Diamond Stud at the Deauville December sale in 2019 in foal to Roaring Lion for 240.000€.

Sicilian Defense is trained by Yann Baraberot and looks to have every chance of competing successfully in Group races over 1400 metres.
