SOLEIL MARIN COMPLETES HATRICK AT SAINT CLOUD
Elizabeth Fabre’s Soleil Marin, a two year old Kendargent colt, completed a hatrick of wins with the greatest of ease at Saint Cloud on November 18th. Trained by her husband Andre and ridden by PC Boudot Soleil Marin came right away from his opponents in the 2000 metre Prix La Sega to win unchallenged by 7 lengths.
Soleil Marin had previously won over 1900 at Cholet and on the psf in Deauville in October. The Haras de Saint Pair owns Setsuko, a yearling 1/2 sister to Soleil Marin by Shamardal, in partnership. They are both out of Sousmarine, a Montjeu mare bred by the Wertheimers from the Lady Berry family.
Andre Fabre trains two of the best 2016 two year olds by Kendargent as aside from Soleil Marin he also has Xaarino in his stable, a son of Kendargent belonging to Prince Faisal who has won two of his three starts including a Listed race in Deauville in August. Fabre also trains Saint Pair’s excellent Kendargent three year old Jmmy Two Times, a multiple Group winner and Group 1 placed this year.
