SUB SAHARA WINS HER MAIDEN BY 7 LENGTHS
The Haras de Saint Pair’s three year old filly Sun Sahara broke her maiden at Landivisiau with an easy 7 length win over 2000 metres in the hands of Coralie Pacaut. The Jean Claude Rouget trained daughter of Muhaarar now has a win and two second places from five career starts to date. Sub Sahara is the fourth winner from the first six foals of her dam Sub Rose, a daughter of Galileo who was an unbeaten Group winner in the colours of Saint Pair. She is a half sister to the Group 2 winner Subway Dancer and the Group 3 winner Secret Advisor and her dam has Torun, an unraced Al Wakair two year old filly in training with Fabrice Vermeullen, and her yearling colt by Myboycharlie was sold to Paul Nataf for 57.000€ at the Arqana August sale.
Sub Sahara is the eleventh Saint Pair bred three year old to win from eleven runners and thirteen live foals of 2018. So 85% winners to foals and 5 of these (38%) are rated higher than 100 already including Group 2 winner Waldbiene, Listed winner Valloria, Group performer Smile Makers as well as Mithras and Integrant.
