VADANOR GOES TO THE SALES AS A WINNER

The Haras de Saint Pair’s Vadanor is due to be sold at the Arqana July Sale. The three year old gelding by Selkrik out of Celebre Vadala will be presented by his trainer Guy Henrot as lot 168 on Thursday July 5.

The gelding has made three starts in to date for two places and a win over 2250 metres at Segre on June 23. At Segre he confirmed the promise of his fourth place at Durtal only two weeks previously. In a large field on a tight track Vadanor was forced to race wide throughout the race, but made his ground on the outside going well on the final turn and was never really troubled in the short straight, winning comfortably by a length and a neck. He is likely to be given an official rating in the 70’s for this performance, and looks likely to become a useful middle distance performer.

Vadanor is the second foal and the second winner of the Peintre Celebre mare Celebre Vadala. She has a Monsun two year old filly called Red Sun, a yearling colt by Monsun, a colt foal by Invincible Spirit and was covered in 2012 by American Post.
