VIA FIRENZE TAKES STAKES PLACE IN DEAUVILLE

 

Via Firenze put up the best performance of her career to date to take third place in the Listed Prix Satamixa in Deauville on December 28th. The three year old daughter of Dansili and Via Medici was sold by the Haras de Saint Pair as a yearling in Baden Baden for 260.000 euros in September 2014. Owned in partnerhip by the Ecurie des Charmes and the Haras d’Etreham and trained by Pia Brandt Via Firenze now has one win and four places fro five starts and earnings of 52.000 euros.  Held up well off the early pace Via Firenze came with a strong run in the straight to take third place, only 2 1/4 lengths behind the winner Realtra, a proven Group filly.

 

This performance confirms the Haras de Saint Pair’s fifth place in the French breeders standings for 2016. Saint Pair ends the year with 22 wins and 50 places from 27 different runners and total earnings of 1.4 million euros. Via Firenze is the fifth black type perfromer bred by the stud in 2016 after Vadamos, Subway Dancer, Love Spirit and Porthilly.
