WALDFEE MAKES WINNING DEBUT

The Haras de Saint Pair’s Waldfee, a three year old Dansili filly trained by Francois Rohaut, made a winning career debut at Salon de Provence on April 27th over 1800. Held up behind the leaders through the early part of the race the daughter of Waldjagd quickened into the lead in the straight and had no trouble going away from her rivals for an easy 1 1/2 length victory.

Waldfee is the second foal and second winner produced by the Observatory mare Waldjagd who comes from the famous W family developed by Gestut Ravensburg. Waldfee’s second dam is the German champion Wurftaube and in recent years the family has produced the Classic winners Waldpark and Masked Marvel and the 2016 juvenile Group 1 winner Waldgeist. Waldjagd has a two year old Motivator filly called Waldlicht, a yearling colt by Le Havre and a colt foal by Muhaarar.
