A NEW STAR FOR AMORAMA’S FAMILY?

Zalamea

Zalamea, a three year old son of Lope de Vega owned in partnership by Eric Puerari and Michel Zerolo was an impressive winner of the 1600 Prix Cadet Roussel at Saint Cloud on March 24. The Jean Claude Rouet trained colt had finished second to his stable companion Taareef in Bordeaux on his only previous start and looks to be a high class prospect.

Zalamea is a half brother to the Grade 1 winner Amorama, dam of the Haras de Saint Pair’s Group 2 winner Ampere, as well as the stakes winners Uncoiled and Table Ronde and Acatama, the dam of Group 1 winner Odeliz. Saint Pair has retained Amorine, a winning Montjeu half sister to Ampere.
