GLAD EYE BREAKS HER MAIDEN
On only her second career start, and coming back from six months off the track, the Haras de Saint Pair’s three year old Dansili filly Glad Eye was an easy winner of a 1600 metre maiden race at Compiegne on October 8th. Held up behind the early leaders by her jockey Alexis Pouchin Glad Eye quickened in the home straight and came between her rivals before going clear in the closing stages to win by 2 1/2 lengths and 2 lengths.
The Andre Fabre trained filly is the second foal and second winner of the Singspiel mare Glorious Sight. Glorious Sight was placed in both the Poule d’Essai des Pouliches and the Prix de Diane. She has a two year old Le Havre colt Glycon in training with Fabre for the Haras de Saint Pair, a yearling colt by Siyouni and a filly foal by Dubawi.
