
GLAER EARNS HIS BLACK TYPE
The Haras de Saint Pair’s Glaer earned black type for the first time with an excellent second place in the Listed Prix de la Riviera over 2000 metres at Cagnes sur Mer on Sunday February 12th. The six year old Siyouni gelding now has six wins and four places from 14 starts and earnings of 130.000€. After making one start and two Glaer missed the whole of his three year old season and has been brought along gradually by trainer Jean Claude Rouget to reach a new peak at Cagnes.
Glaer is the fifth foal and fifth winner produced by Glorious Sight, who was herself placed in both the Group 1 Poule d’Essai des Pouiches and Prix de Diane. Her three year old filly Gypsy Gold, a full sister to Glaer, was placed at two for Saint Pair and Rouget. Her two year old Le Havre filly Crimson Tide was sold to Al Shiraa’a Farms at the Arqana August sale for 600.000€. She is currently in foal to Wootton Bassett and is due to go to Zarak in 2023.
