LA GALIOTE WINS AGAIN

La Galiote maintained her unbeaten run in 2023 with a second victory of the year in Deauville on January 28th. Owned by John Camileri’s Fairway SAS La Galiote made all the running and held on well when challenged to win by a head and 3/4 length in a Class 2 over 1500 on the all weather from I Am Incredible and Purest Time,  with the trio finishing well clear of the remainder. The Zoustar filly had broken her maiden on her second career start in Pau over 1600 metres on January 9th. La Galiote, who is trained by Christophe Ferland now has earnings of 45.170€ and 2 wins and a fourth place from 3 starts.

La Galiote is the third foal and third winner produced by the Street Cry mare Dardiza who has also produced the Gr winner Guildsman, who was placed in the Group 2 Coventry S as a two year old. She was sold by Saint Pair as a yearling to Hubie de Burgh at the Arqana August sale for 135.000€. Dardiza’s Kingman two year old is in training with William Haggas and was sold to Oliver St Lawrence for 800.000€ at the 2022 Arqana August sale.
