GLAER WINS BRILLIANTLY IN LYON LA SOIE

The Haras de Saint Pair Glaer came with a brilliant late run under Coralie Pacault to win the Grand Prix de Lyon-La-Soie comfortably by 1 3/4 lengths on April 8th. Glaer a six year old son of Siyouni and Glorious Sight now has 7 wins from 14 starts and earnings of 156.000€ and on the all weather he has four wins and a second place in a Listed from six starts. His dam Glorious Sight has produced five winners from her first five foals including the multiple Group winner Glycon. Her three year old filly Gypsy Gold, a full sister to Glaer, was narrowly beaten on her second start at two and is in training with Jean Claude Rouget for Saint Pair. Her two year old Le Havre filly Crimson Tide belongs to Al Shira’aa Farm and she has a filly foal by Wootton Bassett.

On the same day in Bordeaux Saint Pair’s three year old filly Almafina, US Navy Flag and Amorine, finished an excellent second 1/2 length behind Almanzora in a maiden race for unraced horses over 1900m. The pair finished 4 lengths clear of their rivals and the Francois Rohaut trained filly looks to be a useful prospect for middle distance races. Her dam Amorine has a yearling filly by Zelzal and was sold in foal to Make Believe at the 2022 Arqana December sale to Morten Buskop.
