ISLE OF WHITE GRADUATES AT BELMONT PARK

Peter Brant’s Isle of White, a three year old daughter of Siyouni and Dardiza, broke her maiden on her first start for trainer Chad Brown at Belmont Park on June 3rd. Isle of White was held up off the early pace in a maiden race over six furlongs before coming with a run in the straight to win comfortably by 1/2 length.

After making a very promising debut at Chantilly a year ago, when she was only narrowly beaten into second by the subsequent Group winner Rougir,  Isle of White disappointed and was well beaten on three later starts over seven furlongs and a mile. She is the second foal of the Street Cry mare Dardiza whose first foal is Guildsman a Grade 3 winner who was also placed in the Group 2 Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot. Dardiza  is out of a half sister to the dam of the European champion Almanzor. She has a yearling Zoustar filly, a colt foal by Kingman and returned to Siyouni in 2021. Isle of White was sold as a yearling to Peter Brant at Arqana’s August sale in Deauville for 250.000€.
