KITCARA LOOKS GOOD AT MAISONS LAFFITTE

Kitcara broker her maiden on her fourth career start with a comfortable victory in the 1600 metre Prix Double Rose at Maisons-Laffitte on May 12. The Haras de Saint Pair’s daughter of Shamardal came from behind in the straight to catch the leader La Petite Maison and then held off the late challenge of Raphinae to win by 3/4 length.

She is the second foal and second winner the Haras de Saint Pair has bred from the Monsun mare Kitcat, also dam of the stakes winning four year old Kapour who is now in training in Australia. The Haras de Saint has a two year old Dansili filly out of the mare called Kitkatie and a yearling filly by Turtle Bowl. Kitcat returned to Shamardal in 2014.
