KITCARA LOOKS LIKE A TOP MARE

Kitcara is a ten year old Shamardal mare bred and raced by the Haras de Saint Pair, a daughter of the Monsun mare Kitcat. Trained by Francois Rohaut she was a winner at three over 1600 metres at Maisons Laffitte earning a rating of 93. She was sold at the Arqana December sale to Kern Lilingston for 120.000€ .

She is now looking like a top class broodmare. Her first foal, the Sea The Stars colt Al Aasy was a brilliant winner of the Group 3 John Porter Stakes at Newbury on April 18th, his second Group win, and looks to have improved significantly from three to four as he earned a rating of 118. Her second foal, a three year old full sister Sea Karats made her debut in a maiden at Newbury on April 16th for which she started a short priced favourite. The William Haggas trained filly finished third, beaten only a nose and a short head, after being hampered at a crucial moment in a slowly run race. She too looks to have the potential to become a high class performer.
