NEW STAKES WINNER FOR SAINT PAIR
Via Firenze became the fourth stakes winner of 2017 bred by the Haras de Saint Pair following the Group winners Graphite, Trais Fluors and Via Ravenna. The Ecurie des Charmes and the Haras d’Etreham’s four year old Dansili filly was always prominent and quickened clear for an easy 2 1/2 length victory in the Listed Prix Luth Enchantee at Clairefontaine on August 11th. The Pia Brandt trained filly had previously been Group 2 plaved at Meydan and stakes placed in France and now has two wins and six places from 10 career starts and earnings of £87.000.
Via Fireznze was purcahsed by Meridian International as a yearling at the Baden Baden September sale for 260.000 euros. Her dam Via Medici was a Group 3 winner in the colours of Saint Pair and she is a half sister to the Saint Pair Via Pisa who was a Group 1 placed Listed winner. Via Medici is a half sister to Via Manzoni as well as to this year’s Saint Pair owned three year old Via Ravenna who was second in the Group 1 Prix Rothschild in Deauville in August.
The Haras de Saint Pair is currently the fourth leading breeder in France by total prizemoney won. From 26 different runners the Haras de Saint Pair has won 22 races and 712.000 euros in prizemoney.
