PEARLS GALORE WINS HER GROUP

Pearls Galore came from behind to win the Group 3 Brownstown Stakes at Fairyhouse on Sunday, July 11th for the Haras de Saint Pair, her trainer Paddy Twomey and jockey Billy Lee. The four year old daughter of Invincible Spirit now has three wins and two places in six starts since joining the Twomey stable in Golden, Tipperary and as well as this Group win she was placed in both the Group 3 Fairy Bridge and Ballycorus Stakes. Her next target is the Group 1 Matron Stakes to be run over a mile at Leopardstown on September 11th.

Pearls Galore is the second Group winner produced by her dam the Pivotal mare Pearl Banks and third stakes winner as her earlier daughters include the Group 3 winner Lucky Lycra and the Listed winner Pearly Steph. Pearls Banks is a daughter of Saint Pair’s foundation mare the Group 1 winner Pearly Shells.  Her two year old daughter Pearls Angel, a daughter of Dark Angel, is in training with Francois Rohaut for Saint pair and she has a yearling colt by Shalaa.
