VALLORIA SHOWS HER CLASS, AGAIN
The Haras de Saint Pair’s Valloria came close to an upset victory in the Group 1 Prix Jean Prat in Deauville in Sunday July 11th. Coming off an impressive win in a Listed race over 1600 the three year old daughter of Dubawi put her best performance to date to finish fourth behind three colts in the Group 1.
Held up behind the two early leaders in a small group racing on the stands’ rails Valloria and Christian Demuro were forced into making their move early when the pair in front of them Naval Crown and Mehmento dropped away with 200 metres to run. The half sister to Vadamos accelerated brilliantly to take the lead but tired in the final 50 metres to finish fourth, 4 lengths and more clear of the remainder of the field, and only a total of two lengths and a head behind the winner Law Of Indices and the placed horses Thunder Moon and Midtown.
Valloria is the last foal of the Peintre Celebre mare Celebre Vadala who also produced the Group 1 winner and stallion Vadamos and the multiple stakes winner Volfango, as well as the dam of the Group winner Tornibush. Saint Pair has also retained by winning daughter by New Approach Vadivina who is currently in foal to Pinatubo.
