PEARLY STEPH WINS HER LISTED

PearlySteph-Longchamp2-6

The Haras de Saint Pair’s Pearly Steph won the Listed Prix des Lilas at Longchamp on June 2nd. The daughter of Oasis Dream now has two wins and three places from five career starts and earnings of over 100.000 euros.

Always prominent, the Freddy Head trained filly quickened clear of her rivals at the top of the straight and held on to win the 1600 metres stakes race by a neck from Zaridiya and this pair came 2 1/2 lengths clear of the remainder of the field. Pearly Steph is the first foal of her dam Pearl Banks, a daughter of Pivotal who was a multiple Group and stakes winner over 2200 and 2400 metres. She has a two-year-old full sister who is in training in Ireland, having been sold at the Goffs Orby yearling sale in 2014, a filly foal by Invincible Spirit and is in foal to Olympic Glory.

Pearly Steph’s Longchamp victory took the Haras de Saint Pair into tenth place on the French breeders’ table. Up to June 2 Saint Pair had 13 runners in France who had 9 wins and 23 places for earnings of 424.000 euros.
