SANTO SPIRITO SCORES ON HIS RETURN

tack

Santo Spirito, Haras de Saint Pair’s four-year-old Monsun colt returned from an absence of nearly a year to break his maiden at Tarbes on June 5. Last seen at Vichy in July 2014, the Francois Rohaut trained colt had recovered from a career-threatening injury and travelled smoothly throughout the 2100 metre race to win easily by 3 1/2 lengths.

Santo Spirito now has one win and three places from only four career starts. His is the first foal of the Group winner San Sicharia who also has an unraced three-year-old Dansili gelding, San Daniele, in training with Jean Paul Galorini, and a two-year-old Kendargent colt who is in training with David Lanigan having been sold for 130.000 euros at the 2014 Deauville October yearling sale.
