PEARLY STEPH’S FRANKEL GOES TO GODOLPHIN

The Haras de Saint Pair sold the Frankel filly out of Pearly Steph to Godolphin for 700.000 guineas at the Tattersalls October 1 sale. She is currently the fifth most expensive yearling filly sold in Europe this year.

Pearly Steph was a very useful Listed winner herself, rated 102 and at her best at around a mile. She is a half sister to Pearls Galore, a three year old Invincible Spirit filly who was only narrowly defeated by Group 1 winner Champers Elysees on her latest start. They are both grand daughters of Saint Pair’s foundation mare Pearly Shells, the winner of the Group 1 Prix Vermeille in 2002.
