ROERO TAKES THE GRAND HANDICAP

Roero continued his upward progression with an impressive victory in the Grand Handicap de Deauville on August 15. The Haras de Saint Pair and Francois Rohaut’s five year old Acclamation gelding took up the running with 400 metres to run and held off all his challengers to win comfortably by 3/4 length carrying top weight. Roero now has 8 wins and 7 places from 21 starts and earnings of 336.000 euros. This win took his official rating to 49.5 kilos or 109 and so Roero’s future lies in Group races.
