SHAGAH LOOKS THE PART AT GOODWOOD
Al Shaqab Racing’s Shagah broke her maiden on his third start with a comfortably victory over seven furlongs at Goodwood on July 31st. Second on her previous start at Newmarket the Richard Hannon trained daughter of Invincible Spirit is a promising filly who looks very likely to go on to stakes company in the future.
Shagah is out of the Sadler’s Wells mare Propaganda, the first foal of the Haras de Saint Pair’s Prix Vermeille winner Pearly Shells. Pearly Shells has four other daughters to date. Pearl Banks, a Group 3 winner by Pivotal whose yearling filly by Oasis Dream is entered in the Arqana August sale. Pearls Or Passion, (photo) a stakes winner in 2013 and sold by Saint Pair for 600.000 guineas in December 2013, Pearly Avenue, the winner of 2 races to date in training with Francois Rohaut, and a filly foal by Holy Roman Emperor.
Pearly Shells’ Dubawi yearling colt will be offered at Tattersalls October 1, presented by Stauffenberg Bloodstock
