SPIGA ON HER WAY TO BETTER THINGS
The Haras de Saint Pair’s three year old Lope de Vega filly Spiga broke her maiden in a spectacular manner in Deauville on August 31st. The Andre Fabre trained filly joined the leaders at the top of the straight before racing away to win unchallenged by 7 lengths. Spiga is likely to make her next start in stakes company.
Spiga was purcahsed for 190.000 euros at the 2014 Arqana August sale from Ballylinch Stud. She is half sister to the Group 3 winner Nargys and comes from the family started by Meon Valley Stud’s foundation mare One in a Million, her fifth dam.
