VADAMOS WINS HIS GROUP 1

Vadamos became the first home bred Group 1 winner for the Haras de Saint Pair with a decisive victory in the Prix du Moulin de Longchamp run at Chantilly on September 11th.

Sent into the lead by Vincent Cheminaud before the turn into the straight the son of Monsun never looked in danger thereafter, quickening brilliantly the whole way up the straight to win by 3/4 length from Spectre and Zelzal. Vadamos ran the final 600 metres in the exceptional time of 33.32 seconds, and the last 200 metres in only 10.47 seconds.

Vadamos trainer Andre Fabre indicated after the race that possible future targets include the Cox Plate, the Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Ascot and the Breeders Cup Mile at Santa Anita. Vadamos proved once again that he is the leading older miler in Europe, and one of the best milers in the Northern Hemisphere.
