SPINAMIX AGAIN
SPINACRE, a two year filly by Verglas out of Spinacre, broke her maiden on August 20 winning at Roscommon over seven furlongs by 10 lengths for her owner breeder Lisa Kelly and trainer Kevin Prendergast. This was Spinacre’s third start and her first over this distance and her trainer indicated afterwards that she would be heading for stakes races in the future.
This is what her dam’s foals usually do, as Spinacre is the sixth winner she has produced from seven foals of racing age four of which are already stakes performers, the colts Codeword, Spin Cycle and Same Word and then the Haras de Saint Pair’s mare San Sicharia. San Sicharia was a Group 3 winner over seven furlongs and was rated 105 (48 kilos) by ‘The Racing Post’.
San Sicharia has a Monsun colt yearling, a Dansili colt foal and is currently in foal to the Haras de Colleville’s Kendargent.
